Trauma Therapy
Using a combination of CBT and Hypnotherapy along with EMDR and mindfulness therapy which are all recognised as being particularly effective therapies for trauma based distress.
Traumatic events can include a whole range of experiences including PTSD, accidents, childhood abuse both physical and emotional, adult emotionally abusive relationships, violence, natural disasters, difficult childbirth experiences, sudden illness or disability and even the loss of a loved one.
The aim of trauma therapy is to help each person develop the skills to process the traumatic event and to develop the healthy coping mechanisms and responses.
Using a combination of CBT and hypnosis for an evidenced based result. Hypnotherapy can offer a gentle route to help the subconscious mind heal from trauma without you having to consciously re experience the event. Improvements are often seen with only a few sessions.
I also use EMDR for clients suffering with PTSD as this is especially effective in helping the brain to integrate the traumatic unprocessed memory into existing memory networks leading to a reduction in the unpleasant distressing emotions and physical feelings being experienced.
