Anxiety in children and teenagers can feel overwhelming and it seems that the long term effects can reach far into adult life, affecting confidence, self esteem and relationships. Recognising children and teenagers who are suffering from anxiety and teaching practical strategies that they can use to manage anxiety is crucial for their long term mental health and well being. Mindfulness based cognitive therapy is especially useful and effective. Children and teenagers respond particularly well to anxiety therapy utilising a combination of hypnotherapy , mindfulness therapy and CBT.
